Animals At Home (Exmoor & Quantocks) Ltd Animal Ambulance for pet emergencies, Pet Taxi for routine pet transport plus home pet care with host families, dog walking, cat care and animal event first aid cover (dog and pet shows etc). This service will be fully operational from mid-November 2007 and available to all veterinary surgeries in the Minehead area, Exmoor, the Brendon Hills and The Quantocks, as well as any pet owner. The Animal Ambulance is a domestic pet 24 hr response service aimed at assisting vets that cannot make house calls. The ambulance and a trained driver will attend the scene/ animal , render first-aid and convey the animal and owner to the nearest or their own vet. The service is free to vets. For pet owners who need transport to routine vet visits, pet relocation, transport to kennels/cattery, groomers etc, there is a Pet Taxi available. This is chargeable at an hourly rate. Additional services include host family, house sitting and dog walking. These services are also available for cats, small livestock and smallholdings.
